COAA PlaneDescriptionter is an aircraft tracking and signal decoding application that receives and decodes live digital position reports from aircraft and displays the resulting information on a chart. It can provide a radar-style view of aircraft transmitting supported digital messages, including ACARS, ADS-B, and HFDL data.
The software can display decoded messages, archive received data to log files, and plot aircraft positions, altitudes, and timestamps from supported reports. Position information can be displayed over suitable aeronautical charts or downloaded satellite imagery.
PlaneDescriptionter also provides integration with compatible Mode-S receivers and PC-HFDL software, as well as Google Earth support for displaying aircraft positions on a geographic base map.
