Description
This course is for electromagnetic theory.
First, vector analysis and coordinate system are introduced to calculate electric and magnetic field.
In static electromagnetic field, electric field can be calculated in various coordinate. Electric flux density is introduced.
and gauss's law and divergence theorem is exploited to find Electric flux density easily.
Potential is introduced and laplace and poisson equation is used for finding potential and calculate capacitance.
Conductor and dielectric material is studied and also boundary condition is also introduced.
static Magnetic field can be found by Biot-Savart law and ampere circuital law. Scalar and vector magnetic potential is introduced. Force and Torque due to magnetic field and current can be calculated. Self and mutual inductance can be calculated.
In time varying field, Maxwell equation is introduced and this equation generate wave equation. This wave equation can be used in transmission line. In transmission line , Voltage and current are propagating. Impedence , reflection coefficient and VSWR are also studied. This wave equation can be also used to find electric and magnetic field in plane wave. when plain wave is incident normal or oblique to the boundary, reflection coefficient can be studied. In dispersion media , time delay and group velocity is also introduced.
In Wave guide, parallel, rectangular , dielectric slab and optic fiber is introduced. TE and TM mode also studied. Antenna propagtion and antenna specification are also studied.
