Hi, My name is Jeremiah Batac. It is nice to meet you here at Udemy. I am a professional photographer, videographer, and web designer. Yes, I do all three. I also can do SDEs (Same-Day-Edits) for weddings. If you are a creative individual, this course is for you. This training will cover the steps and what it takes to create a stunning custom website. I don't use books or PowerPoint. Just plain old whiteboarding and hands-on training. In this session, we will build a website from scratch. My method of teaching is not the traditional training you've seen. When I record these tutorials, I do not post-process them, meaning that it is not cut or removed if there is a mistake or error. I want to show you guys how it is done in the real world vs. a polished, super perfect product. You will see that our content is transparent and honest.
This course is Phase 1 of 3; in Phase 1, we will cover the following items (a) High-Level Overview, (b) Domain Names, (c) Hosting Providers Pt1, and (d) Hosting Providers Pt2. In the High-Level Overview, we will talk about all the steps required to deploy a website. Believe it or not, it may seem Domain Names should be relatively easy, but it is actually the hardest step in the process, I personally think, because there are so many ways to create one. After we get passed the Domain Name humps, we will hear to Hosting Providers. Like Domain Names, Hosting Providers can also generate some potential heartburn because there are so many hosting providers you can leverage. However, I was able to work on some partnerships with IONOS to help you all make this process easy.
