Jun Murakami Synth-80 is a software synthesizer designed to faithfully recreate the Roland MKS-80 SUPER JUPITER. It is based on detailed analysis of the MKS-80 Rev.4, with extensive automated measurements and audio DSP tuning focused on reproducing the characteristics of its filters, oscillators, and other circuits.

Software Overview
Synth-80 was developed around the characteristics of the MKS-80, an 8-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer produced from 1984. The original hardware provides extensive MIDI control, making it suitable for detailed software-synthesizer research. More than 100 dedicated automated measurement programs were used to analyze the circuits and parameters of the MKS-80 Rev.4 during development.
The synthesizer uses a simplified single-screen interface that presents its parameters without unnecessary controls. Hovering the mouse over a parameter highlights the related module, helping users understand the signal routing and connections between modules.
