Description
This module contains 6 lessons. This course involves one of the most important lessons--breaking up multisyllabic words. As you transition from initial readings of simple sentences and enter into complex text that contains multiple syllable words, you will need this skill to help decode and pronounce larger words. Every vowel or vowel combination within a word represents a syllable. A syllable is a single, unbroken sound of a spoken (or written) word. Syllables usually contain a vowel and accompanying consonants. A single vowel is sometimes its own syllable. The number of times you hear a vowel (a, e, i , o, u) in a word is equal to the number of syllables a word has. A good way to identify syllables is to think about whether you need to change your mouth shape to say the next bit of the word / the new syllable. This course allows the student to learn to read American English within a short period of time. It is created by a top teacher with years of experience. I have a 95-100% success rate.Within this lesson, you will have multiple opportunities to practice what you've learned. If you follow what is requested in the videos, by the end of Lesson 21, you will be able to read fluently and correctly.
