Description
"This course contains the use of artificial intelligence."
This course is designed to provide a clear and structured understanding of the fundamental concepts of Network Theory for Electrical and Electronics Engineering students and beginners. Throughout this course, you will learn how electrical signals and waveforms are represented and analyzed.
The course covers important concepts such as periodic and aperiodic signals, step signals, ramp signals, exponential signals, and sinusoidal signals. You will learn how different waveforms can be represented and synthesized using basic signal functions.
A major focus of the course isLaplace transforms and waveform synthesis. You will learn how to represent practical waveforms using unit-step and ramp functions, understand time-shifting, and determine the Laplace transform of different waveforms. You will also learn how Laplace transforms can be applied to periodic signals.
The course then introducestwo-port networks, beginning with the concept of ports and different types of networks. You will understand the four important network variables: V1, V2, I1, and I2, and learn how these variables are related in a two-port network.
You will also learn the fundamentals ofZ-parameters, including their mathematical representation, matrix form, equivalent circuit, and open-circuit definitions. The course explains how Z11, Z12, Z21, and Z22 are determined and how they describe the behavior of a two-port network.
The course is presented in a step-by-step manner with waveform-based examples, mathematical expressions, and circuit-oriented explanations. The objective is to help you develop a strong conceptual foundation and improve your ability to analyze electrical networks.
This course is suitable for ECE and Electrical Engineering students, beginners, and learners who want to strengthen their understanding of Network Theory and its fundamental analytical techniques.
Enroll in the 18EC33 - Network Theory course and start building a strong foundation in electrical network analysis.
