Orange Tree Samples Evolution Infinity is a sampled electric guitar instrument for Native Instruments Kontakt, designed to deliver expressive 1980s-inspired rhythm tones, shimmering chorus sounds, and powerful lead guitar performances. Featuring a distinctive red electric guitar equipped with a sustainer pickup, it can produce notes that ring for extended periods, opening up creative possibilities for sustained chords, atmospheric pads, and harmonically rich lead sounds.
The library captures a wide range of articulations and performance techniques, including pinch harmonics, tapping, pick slides, squeals, and other guitar effects. Sustain samples are recorded with generous note lengths and seamlessly looped using phase-coherent loop points to support long, continuous performances.
Powered by Orange Tree Samples' Evolution guitar engine, Evolution Infinity combines detailed sampling with customizable articulation mapping, an integrated effects suite, an innovative strumming pattern editor, and automatic chord detection. Its factory presets provide ready-to-use classic 1980s rhythm and lead guitar tones for music production.
Software Overview
Evolution Infinity is designed for composers, guitarists, and producers who need a versatile virtual electric guitar with a strong emphasis on sustained notes and expressive lead playing. Its sustainer-equipped sound makes it possible to create long, evolving tones that can be shaped into pad-like textures or dramatic high-gain leads.
The instrument also supports detailed MIDI performance control. Users can configure articulation triggers, adjust pick position, customize effects, and use multitracking to create a wider, layered guitar sound. Four round-robin variations are provided for the legato articulations, helping add variation to fast trills and connected phrases.

What is Orange Tree Samples Evolution Infinity?
It is a sampled virtual electric guitar instrument for Kontakt, featuring 1980s-inspired tones, sustained notes, expressive lead articulations, and an integrated sound-shaping engine.
What makes the guitar sound different from a standard electric guitar library?
The sampled guitar features a sustainer pickup, allowing notes to ring for extended periods. This supports sustained chords, pad-like swells, and harmonics that can resemble amplifier feedback.
Can I customize articulations and MIDI controls?
Yes. The Evolution engine lets users map articulations using velocity ranges, MIDI CCs, and keyswitches, including latching and non-latching modes.
Does Evolution Infinity support layered guitar parts?
Yes. The library supports multitracking up to four times, enabling thicker and wider guitar arrangements.
How large is the sample library?
The sampling specifications list 5.79 GB of 24-bit samples compressed to approximately 3.5 GB with the lossless NCW format. The supplied release package is listed as 4 GB.
