reFX Vanguard is a software synthesizer designed for electronic music production, combining a redesigned interface with expanded wavetable, filter, modulation, delay, reverb, and distortion capabilities. The instrument provides sound-shaping tools for creating and editing synthesizer patches within a streamlined production workflow.
Its browser includes categorized navigation, tags, bookmarks, favorites, user preset management, instant sound previews, and search-as-you-type functionality. The updated effects and additional wavetables expand the available options for shaping sounds directly within the synthesizer.​

Software OverviewreFX Vanguard provides a redesigned synthesis environment with a cleaner user interface and several additions to its sound engine and effects section. The instrument includes ten additional wavetables, two new filter types, a new delay type, an enhanced reverb, new distortion processing, and synchronized LFOs.
The Advanced Librarian uses a three-column layout for navigating sounds and provides color-coded tags, bookmarks, favorites, and a dedicated location for user presets. Search and filtering tools allow sounds to be located by typing search terms or filtering by category and tags, while instant previews help users audition presets before loading them.
The reverb has been redesigned using the RutaVerb technology found in NEXUS5, while the new distortion effect is positioned behind the enhanced reverb in the effects chain. The additional wavetables include async PWM, three FM Simple variations, Mirror, two Nasty variations, two Sinebend variations, and Yay.
