reFX Vanguard is a software synthesizer designed for electronic music production, combining wavetable synthesis with a collection of filters, modulation tools, and built-in effects. The redesigned instrument features an updated interface and an expanded sound engine while retaining the character associated with Vanguard.
The synthesizer includes new wavetables, filter types, delay processing, an enhanced reverb, distortion effects, and synchronized LFOs. It also comes with 136 new factory presets and includes previously sold Vanguard expansions from reFX.​

Software OverviewreFX Vanguard provides a modernized synthesis and preset-management environment for sound design and music production. Its interface has been redesigned for easier navigation, while the sound engine adds additional wavetable and effects options.
The Advanced Librarian uses a three-column layout for browsing presets. Color-coded tags, bookmarks, favorites, and a dedicated user-preset location help organize larger sound collections. Search-while-typing, category and tag filtering, and instant sound preview provide additional ways to locate presets.
The effects section includes an enhanced reverb, a new distortion effect, and additional processing options. The reverb is based on the RutaVerb found in NEXUS5, while the new distortion stage is positioned behind the enhanced reverb.
