Seequent PLAXIS 3D 2025.1.2 (76) | 2.0 Gb
Seequent, a bussines Bentley Systemshas releasedPLAXIS 3D 2025.1.2is a finite element program for geotechnical applications in which soil models are used to simulate the soil behaviour.
The PLAXIS 2025.1 release added a new database for calculation inputs and results. This upgrade offers faster output, improved data accessibility, and more consistent results, enabling users to push modelling boundaries.
New in PLAXIS 3D 2025.1.2 - Date: February 2026
- [1710453] Plastic Point History legend colours and shapes now match with points shown in Description.
- [1733570] Selected nodes are visualized at the correct location during post-calc curve point selection while in Deformed mesh Description.
- [1748497] Curve points selected on beams have data stored based on unsmoothed structural force results.
- [1752527] .mx files are properly deleted after conversion to the latest version for project from 24.3 or earlier.
- [1753904] data.lastmeshmetrics file is properly deleted when the mesh is reset after conversion to the latest version for projects from 24.3 or earlier.
- [1754423] Stress-points no longer selectable in PSA, Amplification, Fourier and Arias intensity tabs of Curve generation window for Dynamics phases.
- [1808009] db cxx message in calculation progress window replaced with writing.
- [1922059] Mesh Quality Descriptions always show non-smoothed results.
- [1925507] Missing Moving Load information menu has been added.
- [1927205] Maximum Excess Pore Pressure (Pmax) consistently written as absolute value.
- [1928489] Phase activation checkboxes no longer visible in Soil mode when converting meshed project from V24.3 or earlier to the latest release.
- [1929463] Improved description when encountering error codes in 60x range.
- [1937955] Mesh Volume Description always shows non-smoothed results.
- [1938379] Renamed interfaces are visualized in Output.
- [1940429] Fixed a crash in Output due to Connections defined between plates with only a single node pair in common, i.e. plate corner to plate corner and added pre-calculation check.
- Minor improvements in the Descriptionting of curves in the calculation progress window.
- Support for Academic licences.
- Support for Student licences with watermarking on results.
PLAXISis geotechnical analysis software with capabilities to solve common and complex geotechnical problems in soil and rock, including advanced analysis for excavations, foundations, tunnels, and other infrastructure projects.
PLAXIS 3Dis a powerful and user friendly finite element package intended for three-dimensional analysis of deformation and stability in geotechnical engineering and rock mechanics. PLAXIS is used worldwide by top engineering companies and institutions in the civil and geotechnical engineering industry. Applications range from excavations, embankments and foundations to tunnelling, mining and reservoir geomechanics. PLAXIS 3D has advanced features to tackle modelling challenges in the most complex geotechnical projects, that cannot be solved with PLAXIS 2D. Finite element modelling in full 3D has never been easier with a range of CAD-like drawing tools and extrude, intersect, combine and array operations. It's almost like sculpting.
In this showreel, we display some models of dams and embankments made in PLAXIS 3D.
